Why I Created the Card Game Emptiness
Emptiness was born from a deep curiosity about human existence: Why are we here? How do we navigate life in this universe? Inspired by the cosmic dance of relativity, quantum theory, and the idea that Earth may be a kind of energetic matrix, this game explores the invisible forces shaping our inner and outer worlds—thought, memory, intention, and consciousness.
In life, we’re constantly thinking—awake or asleep, consciously or not. Thought itself requires energy. Over time, thoughts become memories, and memories shape the emotional landscape we live in. If we never pause or release, we remain trapped in an endless cycle—patterns repeating, energy looping.
This card game is a metaphor for that cycle. Each card represents a thought, a fragment of emotion, or a moment of intention. The objective is simple: empty your hand—symbolizing clarity, release, and inner peace. But as in life, this is far from easy. Distractions, emotional burdens, and unresolved energy continuously return.
Each card archetype mirrors a deeper layer of the soul’s journey:
Illumination cards reflect moments of compassion, awakening, or deep truth. These are genuine shifts in energy that help clear the path.
Disruption cards bring more mental noise—material desires, emotional conflict, resistance. They represent the turbulence that prevents stillness.
Positive and Negative Energy cards mirror the spiritual weight of our choices. They can lift us or weigh us down depending on how we engage with them.
The Equilibrium card is the still point—the calm eye in the storm. It represents presence, neutrality, and the clarity that arises when we no longer react to external energies.
Through this game, I wanted to express a simple truth: everything is connected. Our thoughts ripple outward. The world responds to our energy. What seems like coincidence—like a sudden shift of luck or insight—often emerges from unseen currents of intention and resonance.
Emptiness is more than just a strategy game—it’s an inner mirror. It invites players to witness their mental patterns, release what no longer serves, and experience what it feels like to truly let go.
