Single Player Card Game Rulebook

1. Setup

Shuffle all 48 cards thoroughly.
Deal 8 cards each to the player and the virtual opponent.
The player’s hand is face up; the opponent’s hand is face down (hidden).
Place the remaining 32 cards in the center as the draw deck.

2. Objective

You win if you discard all cards from your hand.
You lose if the virtual opponent discards all cards from their hand first.

3. Gameplay

3.1 Player’s Turn

Play one card or a valid combination (combo) from your hand.
Apply the card’s effect immediately.
If you cannot play any card, draw one card from the deck and end your turn.

Combo Rules

Positive Energy and Negative Energy cards must be played as part of a combo with another card.
Refer to the combo chart for combo effects.

3.2 Virtual Opponent’s Turn

Randomly reveal one card from the opponent’s hand.
Resolve the card’s effect as follows:

6. Example Turn Sequence

  1. Player: Enlightenment + Positive Energy → Discard 2 cards, then discard 1 more Energy or draw 1 card.

  2. Opponent: Reveal a random card → Negative Energy → Player draws 1 card.

  3. Player: Disruption + Positive Energy → Opponent draws 1 card.

  4. Opponent: Reveal a random card → Disruption → Both player and opponent draw 1 card.

Use this rulebook as your reference for solo play.
Keep the combo chart handy for quick effect checks, and always resolve ambiguous effects in the way that is least favorable to the player. Enjoy your game!

Place the revealed card in the discard pile.

3.3 Counter (Defense)
When the opponent plays a card, if you have an Energy card in your hand, you may counter according to the rules.
Follow the effect descriptions for countering.

3.4 Hand and Deck Exhaustion

If either the player or the opponent’s hand reaches zero, the game ends.
If the draw deck is empty, shuffle the discard pile to form a new deck.


4. Additional Rules

If the opponent’s card effect gives a choice (e.g., “discard 1 Energy or draw 1”), always resolve it in the way that increases your hand (draw a card).
If your hand contains only Energy cards, draw 1 card and end your turn.
